DIGGING UP YOUR PAST
Having found Charles I gathered together a gang of able bodies from my family and returned to Clonmore on the following Sunday.
Eddie had told me that under a hollow in the graveyard ( used by the locals for maintenance rubbish ) lay a stone vault and just beside Charles's stone.
So we dug it out.
Eddie had a lot of documentation on the origins and it turned out to be burial vault of the Byrnes of Clonmore including that of Edmond Mc Hugh Gaungagh, the father of Charles of Sleaty formerly Ballinakill.
